Inauguration of YRC cum Blood Donation Camp
The inaugural function of Youth Red Cross (YRC) was organized by Krishna College of Education for Women held on 11th October 2017 at VCW Seminar Hall. Dr. K. S. Loganathan, Head, Dept. of Economics & YRC Co-ordinator, Thiruvalluvar Govt. Arts College, Rasipuram, Namakkal was resource person. Dr. S. K. Rajkumar, Executive Officer, Vivekanandha Medical Care Hospital presided over the function and then our college YRC club conducted Blood Donation Camp in VIET Seminar Hall. Nearly 50 students from our college were volunteered and donated their blood.
Eye Check-up Camp
Two-day eye check-up camp was organized in our college campus on 5th and 6th October 2017. On the first day Mrs.G.Vijayalakshmi, Ophthalmologist, in-charge and Co-ordinatorof Vivekanandha Eye Care Hospital explained how to take care of eyes. On the following day also Mrs.G.Vijayalakshmi examined our students and 20 students were referred to lenses and suggested to wear spectacles.
Dental Checkup cum Awareness Programme
A Dental Checkup cum Awareness programme was organized by our college held on 6th October, 2017 at 02.00 p.m. Mrs. G. Vijayalakshmi, Ophthalmologist, in charge and Coordinator, Vivekanandha Dental Medical College. She explained in details about the root cause of the dental & oral health problems, how we and every one can avoid it. Students also asked the queries they had in their mind which were solved by the Doctors.
